About this Website
The New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) is committed to students' overall wellbeing as well as their academic success. We understand that non-tuition costs like food, childcare, and housing can impact the well-being and success of college students. We created this webpage to connect college students with resources and programs that are available in New Jersey. Our goal is to help connect students at colleges and universities throughout the state with available resources to address their needs and help keep them on track to earning their college credential.
The resources in this website were compiled by OSHE and cover various areas of need, including: food and nutrition, housing support for the short- and long-term, resources for parents, transportation, mental health, insurance, college financial aid and education-related resources, legal aid, and tax assistance. The services and programs highlighted on this site are offered primarily by community-based organizations, non-profits, and State agencies.
This website is a free tool for New Jersey college students, residents, and institutions of higher education. Although this website is designed to connect college students to basic needs supports, all New Jersey residents can utilize and benefit from its resources. Additional resources and programs will be added based on user feedback to ensure the information provided is up-to-date and as comprehensive as possible.
